Do You Need a Little Help This Holiday Season?

At Safe Harbor Support Center, we’ve been proud to provide families across the Tri-Cities with a helping hand during the holiday season. Last year, with the support of our incredible community, we reached a record milestone, helping over 350 children wake up to gifts on Christmas morning.

This year, we are once again offering Christmas Assistance, and we anticipate the need to be as great—or even greater—than before. We kindly ask for your patience as this program is managed by our small but dedicated staff alongside our other responsibilities.

To apply for Christmas Assistance 2024, please complete the application below:

  • ONE submission per household is permitted.

  • The DEADLINE to apply is November 29, 2024.

Thank you for trusting us to help make your holiday season brighter.

Important Notice Regarding Wishlist Adoption

Thank you for participating in our holiday Wishlist Adoption program. Please note the following:

  • We currently have a limited number of community donors, and while we will do our best to pair each child's wishlist with a donor, we cannot guarantee that every wishlist will be selected or fulfilled.

  • To increase the likelihood of adoption, wishlists will be displayed anonymously on our website, allowing the broader community to select and adopt them.

  • Families will be notified by Friday, December 13, 2024, if their child's wishlist has been adopted.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to help as many children and families as possible this holiday season. Our goal remains to bring joy to as many children as we can, and we thank you for trusting us to support your family.

Important Information for Christmas Assistance Applicants

To ensure a smooth process and fair distribution of resources, please carefully review the following criteria and guidelines before applying:

  • Eligibility Criteria:

    • This application is for children under the age of 18 living in your home.

    • Unfortunately, we are unable to provide assistance for adult children at this time due to agency limitations.

    • Applicants must provide a birth certificate listing them as the parent or a court document awarding guardianship of the child.

    • Photo ID will be required to pick up gifts.

    • Birth certificates or guardianship paperwork must be uploaded for each child included in the application. Applications submitted without these documents will not be processed.

  • Application Guidelines:

    • The deadline to apply is November 29, 2024.

    • ONE submission per household is permitted.

    • This form is a request for assistance, and while we strive to match every request with a donor, we cannot guarantee that every child or family will be “adopted.”

    • We will do our best to align gifts with the child’s wishlist, but exact items cannot be guaranteed.

  • Confirmation & Notifications:

    • Families matched with a donor will receive a notification email confirming their child will receive gifts by December 13, 2024.

    • Pick-up of gifts will be scheduled for the week of December 16-20, 2024. Do not bring your child(ren) to pick up.

  • Important Notice:

    • Double Dipping Policy: If you are found to have received gifts for your children from multiple agencies this holiday season, your application will be denied, and you will be ineligible for future assistance. We work with other agencies and cross-check registration lists to ensure the proper use of community donations.

  • Thank you for understanding and for helping us ensure that all families have an opportunity to receive support this holiday season. Please review the Gift Pick-Up Policy.

Gift Pick-Up Policy

When picking up your gifts, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Do Not Bring Children: To maintain the surprise of the holiday season and respect the privacy of all families, we kindly ask that you do not bring children with you when picking up gifts.

  • We will not make any last minute changes to wishlists.

  • We do not allow parents to "swap" with other gifts they may see waiting to be picked up and packaged for other families.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we strive to make this a joyful experience for everyone involved.
